There is always dormant beauty waiting in the brokenness
After watching? You just may want to hug someone –

In light of the recent World Cup kick-off, Shaghai-based artist ‘Red’ Hong Yi has painted a picture of three of the tournament’s superstars – Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Lionel Messi. These aren’t your conventional portraits, though.
I’ve thought about this one all week. Read it to kids — and we thought about it long:
“Brooks Hambly turned in his graduation speech 3 times, but it was rejected all 3 times –
on the basis of him mentioning his Christian faith.
So he dropped the mic with this instead.

[Post of the Week from these parts here]
Turns out that an overwhelming number of us feel like this — and want to say this to our daughter:
What’s on the stack here at the farm:
I read Jerry Sittser’s first book, A Grace Disguised, twice. One of the most heart wrenching, moving books, because his is a story like no other, written eloquently and honestly.
I’ve waited a long time for the follow-up companion book, A Grace Revealed — I need this story of redemption in the midst of heartbreak. What God has begun — He will finish.
The point: “An unloved child/teen negatively reacts in a way that feels disrespectful to a parent. A disrespected parent negatively reacts in a way that feels unloving to the child. This dynamic gives birth to The Family Crazy Cycle.”
Underlining and making notes all over this one – thinking much about the respect parents desire, and the love children need and what that looks like. A highly recommended summer refresher read.

… on a hard day, we all sat close together & watched the sky & believed:
What this Dad does? Show Stopper.

Hey Soul? This week? Take a deep breath & keep it real simple.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God… when you ask, you must believe & not doubt.” James1:5-6
Maybe the best day planner, is the simple one.
